![]() ![]() The answers are converted from decimal to hexadecimal values (if the answers equal 0, 1, or 2, the calculated hexidecimal values are the same as the decimal values). Three readings are then taken from the Main LCD display, one each with the shutter speed dial set to 4000, 30, and B respectively.Īdjusted values for 4000, 30, and B are then determined by taking the respective readings from the 4000, 30, and B positions and substracting 221 from the 4000 reading, 130 from the 30 reading, and 26 from the B reading. The film counter LED is set to #11 (#11 = shutter speed dial A/D value) by turning the Focus Dial. To adjust the shutter speeds and reprogram the EEPROM, the camera is placed in "manual adjusting mode" by turning on the "ON" switch, opening the back, pushing the reset button and depressing the shutter release button within 2 seconds. It was necessary to loosen the shutter dial screw, rotate the dial cap 180 degrees into proper position with the index mark, and reprogram the EEPROM. The underlying shutter mechanism has two pins that align with the dial cap. The shutter dial had loosened just enough to rotate 180 degrees (I think from body friction while being carryed with a strap). After obtaining a G2 repair manual, I was able to fix the problem. ![]()
